Training
Our Training Programme
The Master’s Degree in Health Biology and its “Nutrition, Health and Mobility” (NHM) track
The Nutrition, Health and Mobility (NHM) track is fully aligned with the key research themes of CIR3. It offers an interdisciplinary programme focused on:
- the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying chronic diseases
- the regulation of muscle mass and neuromuscular function
- nutrition–microbiota–metabolism interactions
- biological and clinical determinants of mobility
- translational approaches in health
This track is part of the Graduate Track “Nutrition, Health and Mobility” and benefits from English-taught courses in both Master 1 and Master 2, strengthening its international attractiveness.
A Structuring Scientific Foundation
The programme is closely connected with:
-
the research units involved in CIR3
-
partner healthcare institutions
-
the site’s technological platforms
Students complete research internships within associated laboratories, allowing them to develop strong methodological skills and gain hands-on experience within ongoing scientific projects.
Research-Based Training
CIR3 actively contributes to:
-
doctoral supervision
-
hosting postdoctoral researchers
-
supporting early-career scientists
-
organizing scientific events promoting the dissemination of doctoral research activities
This dynamic helps structure a continuous education–research pathway, encouraging pursuit of doctoral studies and facilitating careers in academia, healthcare, or the health innovation sector.
International Dimension
Internationalisation is a major pillar of the programme:
-
courses taught in English
-
collaborations with European and North American academic partners
-
incoming and outgoing mobility opportunities
-
participation in international programmes
Contribution to the University Strategy
The CIR3-supported training offer is part of Université Clermont Auvergne’s overall strategy, which aims to:
-
consolidate key expertise areas in Health Biology
-
strengthen the links between research, education, and innovation
-
develop an interdisciplinary and translational approach
-
increase the national and international visibility of the university site
