In addition to facilitating relations between the local structures dealing with technology transfer and supporting innovation, such as SATT Grand Centre, CAP 20-25 aims to explore new forms of partnerships between the academic and socio-economic worlds.

Innovation platforms and "living labs" have been identified as the ecosystems of choice to create optimal conditions stimulating the innovation process: open environments, user-centric, multi-partners and multi-performance, they bring together players from the entire innovation chain.

The research work of several CAP 20-25 challenges is based on existing structures.

AgroTechnoPôle

AgroTechnoPôle is a European reference platform in the field of research, testing, standardization and engineering for agricultural equipment.

Backed by IRSTEA on the Montoldre site, it is an ultra-powerful research ecosystem covering the entire technological innovation value chain for agriculture: from academic research—in line with Challenge 1 and Challenge 2 of the CAP 20-25 project—to the market (ten industrial projects per year), plus R&D—in link with the Laboratoire d’Innovation Territorial (LIT - field crops)—and technology transfer.

AgroTechnoPôle’s activities focus on four topics of excellence: fertilization/seeding, robotics, machine/soil interactions, and digital agriculture in connection with the CAP 20-25 ‘s instrumental development program and the environmental Cloud project of Challenge 1.

LIT - Field crops in Auvergne

The Laboratoire d’Innovation Territorial for field crops in Auvergne is a living lab dedicated to field crop agro-ecology in Limagne, exploring a new way of innovating.

LIT - Field crops in Auvergne works with farmers, large companies, start-ups, research, trainers and associations on innovative projects in an open-air experimentation laboratory, under real market conditions.

LIT has several ambitions: the first is to become a reference site in Europe for research and development in innovative solutions inspired by agro-ecology principles; the second is to generate economic development and employment by improving the competitiveness of local undertakings and fostering the emergence of new economic models and start-ups.
