As part of the 2026 call for proposals, the International Research Center for Sustainable Agroecosystems carefully reviewed all 27 proposals received.

These applications included 3 doctoral fellowships, 3 half-doctoral fellowships, 9 postdoctoral fellowships, 10 research projects, and 2 conference grants. They were evaluated according to scientific and technical criteria, prioritized within the research areas, and reviewed by the Steering Committee.

Following this process, 8 projects were selected for funding based on their quality and their potential for scientific contribution to the IRC-SAE. This selection was made within a constrained budgetary context that allowed for support of only a limited number of projects.

The selected projects are as follows:

  • Lactic Acid Bacteria at the Heart of Ecosystems and Scientific Innovation – 25th Lactic Acid Bacteria Symposium (CBL) – Céline Delbes – UMRF (Research Area 3)
  • Phenotyping of lodging resistance and identification of its determinants in soft wheat (Triticum aestivum) – Bruno Moulia & Mélanie Decourteix – PIAF (Axis 1)
  • Understanding how DMC1 mediates temperature tolerance during reproduction in plants (DMCTEMP) – Olivier Da Ines – iGReD (Axis 1)
  • Nematodes, Microorganisms, and the Functioning of Mowed Grasslands (NeMFonc) – Juliette Bloor – UREP (Axis 2)
  • GRADIENT – Marc Saudreau – PIAF (Axis 2).
  • CloudPest – Angelica Bianco – LaMP (Axis 3)
  • Territorial Governance for the Preservation of Agropastoral Resources under Constraints in High and Mid-Mountain Areas. (TRAME) – Laurence Amblard – Territoire (Axis 4)
  • Identifying Territorial Options that Balance Multiple Uses in a Changing Territory (IDOPT) – Pascal Carrere – UREP (Axis 4)

We extend our sincere congratulations to the winning teams and thank them for their contribution to the development of the IRC-SAE.
